About SCOUT

SCOUT Soap is a Brooklyn-based soap manufacturer. We produce small, handmade batches of vegetable based, cruelty-free bar soap. For every bar purchased, SCOUT will donate one bar of soap to a community in need by partnering with the organization Clean The World.

The practice of hand washing with soap is among the most effective and inexpensive ways to prevent diarrheal diseases and pneumonia, which together are responsible for the majority of child deaths worldwide. More than 5 million people, primarily children, die each year in impoverished areas of the world due to these diseases. They kill more people in a year than HIV and malaria combined. Studies have shown that hand washing with soap can reduce the risk of diarrheal diseases by up to 47%.
